Halstad Telephone Company (HTC) was incorporated in 1904, first serving the Halstad and Shelly, Minnesota communities. Through subsequent acquisitions and upgrades, we have grown to include the service areas of Nielsville, Climax, Bygland, and Fisher, Minnesota, and Hillsboro, North Dakota.
HTC is a leader in many fields, including internet, where we provide services for other Internet Service Providers. We also transport high-speed voice and data between toll transfer points for a large number of interexchange carriers.
In addition, internet and web storage services are provided in Grand Forks and Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota, and East Grand Forks and Crookston in Minnesota. Wireless broadband service is available in western Polk County, including Crookston, MN as well as rural Hillsboro, in Traill County, North Dakota.
As a member of various telecommunication service organizations, HTC has played a leading role in addressing both state and federal industry affairs, which ultimately affect the quality and affordability of each member / customer's services.
